Dealing with shoulder pain?

Ease annoying, daily shoulder pain before it gets any worse.

How we can help:

It’s easy to think that shoulder pain is something that just comes with age, or will go away on its own. But if you’re living with a painful shoulder, it’s painful and it aches, it’s hard to imagine what life would be like without pain.

Maybe you are confused because you’ve been told different things, by different people. Maybe you think you have to rest, or that you should be doing ‘this exercise’ and ‘that exercise’ to make it better. Maybe you’ve been to the doctor or another PT and what they offered just didn’t seem to help.

What Can I Do To Get Rid Of My Shoulder Pain Quickly?

Here are four things you can do:

1. You need to make a decision about getting help. Many people rest for weeks, hoping that the pain will go away with time but then time goes by and they’re still putting up with it. Make the change today.

2. Do the RIGHT exercises and stretches.   Stretching and strengthening the musculature that encompasses the shoulder joint can not only help with your pain but can also possibly prevent future injury. Try stretching your pec and your neck to assist in taking the tension off your shoulder. Exercises prescribed to you by a Physical Therapist will help reduce pain and allow you to move freely again quickly.

3. Ice. Try an ice pack over your shoulder for 10-15 minutes. This will assist in the inflammatory control of your pain.

4. Get real, hands-on Physical Therapy. PT is proven to help people with knee pain. If your knee pain is affecting your job, if it keeps you from staying active, and gets in the way of spending quality time with family and friends – Physical Therapy can help get you back to living the life you deserve as quickly as possible.
